Democrats without hope..

Watching both Ted Strickland - former governor of Ohio - and president Clinton's beautifully delivered speech to the Democratic convention, attacking the way Republicans are too partisan, I am struck by the total lack of policy criticism.

Democrats appear to have already decided the only way to fight this election is on a nasty, personal level. They are wrong. They need to realise you don't earn victory through vindictive personal abuse. You earn it through new policies offering change and hope for the future. Without that, they will not deserve to win.
